Oh, so it's NaNo again. That time in which I slung out a very rough draft of "Past Imperfect" and am still in the midst of major revisions of same--it's been a hard, painful, and thus far, unproductive, slog.
So my NaNo project(s) this coming month are: finish the ginormous (it is SO a word) rewrite of PI and get a goodly head start on my second book. Second book, you say?
Why yes, a second book. It's a ghost story. How one recovers from the loss of a person one chose to love. How to survive being
haunted. And where do you go from there. Its working title is "Ghost Story" but may very well end up being "The Eternal Yes." Tell me, lj, how would you write this ghost story?
In other news, my beloved Mishna, although still not a lap cat, is still wonderful. La Cyn's kitten Zuzu is going through her "I DO WHAT I WANT, YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME." phase.
Werk continues to be... werk. If only it paid me enough to live on. I send out resumes weekly to prospective jobs in my field, only to get... crickets. And I don't even have a metaphorical amphibian to which I can feed those equally metaphorical insects.
Mama really does not want to live through a third season of Giftmas retail.
