I worry that Hillary isn't Bill in the same way that George W isn't George HW. I still blame Bill Clinton for the gutting of our military, but I think Hillary will be worse. Bill left us with so little funding for our intelligence agencies, not only did we allow the world trade center bombings, but we also couldn't reliabily figure out who had nuclear weapons and who didn't. A good spy network isn't the sort of thing you can flip on or off with a lightswitch and some dollar bills. It takes years to develop.
If I were a Democrat/Independent I'd vote for Obama tomorrow. As a registered republican I'm going with: McCain, No on the first two props, and yes on the 4 gambling ones. The last two presidential elections I voted 3rd party. In the final presidential choice, it likely won't matter as California always goes democrat, but I'd vote for Obama in some of the possible matchups, but probably vote for McCain over Obama and certainly McCain/3rd party over Clinton.
Also, re: only 4 differences in the Obama/Clinton voting record: How politics get done is so messy that those are unlikely to matter much. Politicians trade votes around all the time (I'll vote for your bill if you vote for mine) Republicans and democrats will also walk hand and hand out the door and both register as "not voting today" with votes that would cancel each other out, so that neither of them has on record that they voted against something for their home district.
