(no subject)
Music, music, and more music--yea for iTunes/Macs (which I otherwise still don't like). We picked up all our CD's from Scott's parent's house yesterday and have been ripping them all day. I already have all my Hillary music (since all my mixed CD's are in my car), and now I have all my Enya, etc. Plus whatever Scott has. I'm so excited. I am a bit afraid that once we have money we'll spend it all on the iTunes store. I'm not a huge CD purchaser, but I would spend a lot of money on individual songs. That's one of things I really miss about living with everyone in college. It was so easy to borrow music. Sometimes you want a little angry white music, so you mosey over to Rosa. When I wanted a bit of angry black music, Lauren was always there for me. Then there was Katie Baker's various CDs, like the "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" which we played over and over again. The only person's music I don't miss is Hillary's and that is because she keeps sending me mixed CDs (hint hint to all the rest of you). Then there was all the music sharing of the Freshman year network--which I deleted because it would always be there... *sigh* I still don't have an iPod, but when I finally get one it will be nice to have so much music already. If anyone wants to come to visit me and bring their CDs... (Or even without the CDs)
The weather has been so gorgeous. I've been in flip flops since good Friday. Granted it doesn't take much warmth to get me into sandals--I don't take them off until it starts to snow and I put them back on as soon as I'm not going to freeze. I think my favorite temperature is flip-flop and sweatshirt weather. Usually LI has really miserable springs--I think we're due a nice one. I'm hoping this stays nice. The last spring I lived at home, right before I went to Houghton, was gorgeous. I remember walking a lot. That might have been the last really nice spring--unless there was one while I was in Santa Fe. The rest seemed rainy. I keep reminding myself that it could snow at any moment until at least May, but I'm hoping....
