Guy at work: Hey, we have a new pope! I mean, "we" relatively, huh huh. {He isn't Catholic, but we've been discussing pope-related stuff for weeks}
Me: I know, I just heard!
G: I don't really like that name he picked, though...Benedict. I mean, what's that supposed to mean?
M: Umm...Benedict was a saint, the patron saint of Europe. And there have been fifteen other popes named Benedict.
G: I don't know..I just don't like it. Why couldn't he pick another name? Like, John Paul had a good one. I know guys named John and Paul. But..Benedict? It's just too pope-y.
At this point my head exploded. It is still exploding. "Too pope-y"?
