I wonder how you use the Greek letters....

I'm not going to have a whinge about the keyboards today, because they're pretty good. But I can't work out how to switch to the Greek letters...

I wanted to write my name in Greek. It's Z [omega] H. I think it's cool, because that means that my name has the last letter in the English alphabet in it, and the last in the Greek alphabet.

I bought a wanky fake numberplate with my name on it :D

Aaaaanyway, here I am in the sunny Greek Islands. Santorini to be exact, we just spent two days in Ios. That was...fun. I managed to avoid being dragged out to go drinking, which was an achievement. Santorini is more my thing, since it's got a volcano in the middle.

Yesterday we went out on a cruise that took us over to the volcanic islands. I was pretty stupid, so I forgot proper shoes and had to climb the volcano in thongs. That was fun. Well worth it though. You could see the steam coming off bits, and little sulfur crystals...and you could smell the sulfur, which is less fun...

After climbing the volcano we headed off to a place where we could swim in a volcanic spring. What they hadn't said was that to get to it you had to swim through 40m of freezing cold sea water.

Which I did.

The volcanic spring was more like a lukewarm bath, with added rust.

Oh well, it was an experience. The 40m swim back was less fun though.

After that we went off to Theracia (I think it's spelt...) for late lunch. It's the least developed part of Greece. They've had electricity for 25 whole years. A couple of us got a donkey ride up the hill to see the town, which was fun. My donkey took off and I was half way up the hill before the others started, surrounded by riderless donkeys.

Our last stop was Oia, where we watched the sunset. We had to catch donkeys up there too, and mine was insane. Kept trying to overtake the others, and then tripped over a step. He then decided that it was my fault, and tried to take out my knee on a bit of rock that was sticking out. Really hurt.

The sunset was beautiful though. I took lots of pictures, which is why I'm here, emptying my camera. And desperately trying to write this in between IMing my family.
