(no subject)
Uh, maybe 2.5k, if i was lucky - I had to wait till the lady befor eme walked her .5k(?) and then the machine went wonky for a bit... and I accidentally hit the emergency stop button and the whole thing froze and restarted. I had a short time frame so was trying for 2.5k, hopefully I made it!
Work is frustrating. The client had been sidetracked in all day re-org meetings that have everyone freaked because they may not have a job tomorrow (literally - as in Wednesday). My client has this totally cute but really scary "oh my god I'm going to die" look when I get into the details we need to implement by, oh, Friday. Um, it ain't gonna happen man. It was 4.5 months late when I got here, it ain't gonna happen in 1.5 weeks just because you want it to! But anyway.
Went to this great Indian place tonight and totally splurged. Multiple glasses of wine, amazing food, all the starters and extras and such you can imagine, and you can basically roll me home. My portion of the bill came to R240* and I felt like a total ass spending that much on dinner, I mean jeez! :) (*thats $35)
I'm lonely. It hit me this Sunday that I will be here for another week+... that's a long time, especially in a place that isn't always safe to go out on your own. I will miss RJ's amazing photography show, I'll miss bootie, I'll miss all you fine folks. I miss home. Oh well, 1 week to go (exactely)...
