(no subject)
So, I’m updating at school because I am totally focused on looking up sources for my research paper on The Picture of Dorian Gray. Totally.
...Come to think of it, I don’t even know the due dates for half of these essays. The English professor is one sadistic woman. I’m sure she knows that we’re all suffering from senioritis, which is why she informs us that we’re about to get bashed over the head with essays gleefully. To be frank, omg English lady, plz. ._. Of course, it hasn’t started affecting my grades quite yet, but I’ll have to keep tabs on it to make sure it doesn’t. I could easily see it get out of hand because I’m lazy and procrastinate and all that jazz.
Only three more months, though. I can handle that. We all can.
I’ve picked up drawing again, and I’m trying to pick up writing too. However, I seem to be at a loss for ideas. So! If you have any crack suggestions for short fics, then feel free to spam me with them. You guys are an endearingly demented creative group. I’d love to get my right side of the brain working properly again in spite of chemical reactions. I can’t allow them to be an excuse any longer.

Someday I’m sure I’ll get it through my head that I’m not in control of everything around me, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ll learn to leave what I have no influence over alone, and focus more on what’s significant. I can’t say that *poof*, starting today I'll be that way because it’s a gradual process, but it’s a decent enough goal to try and work at in the meantime. And hey, maybe it’ll make the next three months go by faster.
I’m counting down the days to spring break like any other student I know. It’s such a relief to know that it’s separated itself from the county fair week this year, as half the students at the school are involved in showing animals in the fair and have to miss school because of it. Everyone out here in the middle of nowhere gets excited about that sort of thing. I'm still trying to figure out why. Anyway, it’s almost like a two week break as none of the teachers really want to start something new with so many students gone. Yay. As for me, the UIL science competition awaits me at the end of fair week. I just received my study packet in the mail. May the geeking begin.
