Its been a while.......
Well since its been so long that i updated this thing i figured i might as well do it now. I havent been up to much really besides work and more work. So since everythings been about work.. i'll start with the little bit of news we got AT work on friday. The hospital i work at has two sites, the General site which is where i work and the Branson Division which is just like an outpatient type walk in clinic thingy. They have no inpatients they dont do OR work or any of that fancy stuff. So what management is trying to do is integrate both our Diagnostic Imaging departments into ONE BIG department divided into two sites. So they're big plan is to have the staff mainly the technologists rotate between the two sites. NOW for us...its not a bad thing since the branson division does no nights, no weekends, and no on calls ever cuz they are only open until 9 monday to friday. Because of this whole rotating thing that would mean they would come onto OUR schedule also and take some of our evenings and weekends and midnights and on call so we wouldn't have to do as much. Which is a good thing. But for them it sucks cuz they dont have to do that now. One of the bad things is alot of people in my department dont like the idea because they already travel far enough to get where they are and go ing there would be like an extra 20 to 30 minutes in morning traffic. For me it doesn't effect me cuz once i get my car it would only take me about 20 minutes to get to the Branson..and like 3 to get to the General cuz i'm so close.. so i dont really mind. But yeah some people said they would quit if they had to go there too often.
But anyways.. the second part of they're news was that they wanted US the technologists to have a little more variety in our job so they want us to be able to rotate through the modalities. Which means EVERYONE is going to be trained in CT aka CatScan and Angiography which is FUCKEN awesome.. because i wanted to go into that eventually anyways! So i'm pretty excited about that. So all in all i gu ess it was some pretty good news for me i'm not sure if i'll like going to another hospital but the fact that i wont have to do so many weekends and nights and stuff is pretty damn good.
On the flip side of things...looks like i may be getting a brand new mazda protege 2003 ya know the leftovers that they never sold. They have a special on them right now.. no interest for 60 months and they are going for pretty cheap so thats cool. I just have to call the dealership in north bay on monday (cuz thats who my dad talked to) and give the guy some info so he can process things and see if i could get accepted for a loan through them instead of my bank. Cuz that would be easier for me i wouldn't have to wait until i'm off during the week to go speak to a loan officer or what not. But anyways i'm pretty excited.. if thats the case i may have my car either by next week or the week of june 13th when i go up north to get it.
Anyways thats al for now.. i'm hungry i need to eat.. ciao
