Have cut a million little triangles for my next quilt.  Now I have to sew them all back together.  Looking forward to it.  Keeps me busy and away from those darn Sims.  (I can hear them calling me, they want Big Boy Boromir to move in)

We had a great time at the quilt show.  Even made it to the fabric store.  They were having another sale, I have ( Read more... )

Did I tell you I was teaching myself to crochet? I feel like we talked about it before.

There should be an "Arts and Crafts Sim Addiction Recovery Group."

*clears throat*

My name is Zoe, and I'm a Sims addict. I have a 12 hour a day habit. I'm making the Fellowship live in one house.

That's great that your learning to crochet! I think you did tell me that. How is it coming along?

Pretty well, I think. I'm still trying to figure out how best to splice two loose ends together so that it doesn't show.

I love the colors on that quilt. Very nice!

When I was a kid, my grandmother made all us grandkids quilts from odd scraps of fabric and old clothes--I actually found a swatch in mine that I recognized as coming from a pair of grandma's pants! She was really gifted in the arts and crafts department.

I hate loose ends! I try to either weave in the end bits or cut them very close, but then I'm always afraid the thing will unravell.

Grandma sounds awesome! I treasure the quilt my mom made for me when I was tiny. No pants, though. That would be sweet. (Mom was a hippie, they would have been tye-dyed)

That looks brilliant, sweetie! I bet Cade loves it.

Oh, and Zoe? You might want to avoid winking at me for a while. In my current celebate, but rather...umm...enthusiastic, state, I might think it's a come on.
