MINGLING (DAYTIME) teleologian July 19 2011, 23:33:39 UTC
[ Whether it's on the banks or in the woods, there are plenty of wide open spaces and dark nook places for schmoozing and boozing and snoozing. There is shade for those of us who are more sensitive to the sun, and room to throw down a towel and catch some rays or kick a ball around. Enjoy the sun while it lasts; you'll find that the daylight hours pass quicker than you would expect. Try not to get a sunburn! ]

[ jun isn't a fan of noisy places and big crowds, but he and his friends from home had been looking for an excuse to go swimming sometime. he's clad in blue swim trunks (and a white tshirt, despite having nothing to hide but his skinny pale body) and sitting on a blanket out of the sun, plucking wildflowers out of the ground and collecting them into a small bouquet while watching everyone else run around. ]

[ For now, he's just scoping out everyone- making sure there's no one around that he wouldn't want to run into, and so far it's been all right. He's carrying a backpack and a large rolled up mat under his arm, as he looks for a good place to set up.

That's when he notices Jun, and the wildflowers... and setting his things down under a nearby tree, he walks over quietly, and nods in greeting to him, before looking at the flowers. ]

What kind of plants are these...?

[ oh he likes being asked about flowers! he holds them out so tetsuo can see and offers him a small smile. ]

Ah, they're buttercups...the bright yellow color makes them a nice summer flower, huh?

SWIMMING/WATER ACTIVITES (ALL DAY) teleologian July 19 2011, 23:33:54 UTC
[ Zodion is blessed with some of the cleanest bluest water you've ever seen, so why not take a dip to escape the blistering sun? Or maybe you would rather see who can make the biggest splash, or maybe you're content to sit on the bank and try to catch a fish. Just be sure to wait 30 minutes before diving in or you might end up regretting it.

When the sun sets, that water becomes pitch black, save for the nice reflection of the moon and the small lights. Take extra care around water at night. But hey, on the other hand, a cover of darkness makes it easier to turn a regular swim into a sexy one. Surely no one will notice if you remove your top as long as you stay submerged...or if you accidentally lose it, for that matter. ]

[ it's late morning and guess who's swimming laps in a super stylish wetsuit???

not across the whole lake, mind! just to and from a convenient rock that's a reasonable distance out. he's taking it pretty seriously and doesn't seem terribly interested in the party that's going on. he is, however, stopping at the shore every now and then to take a breather, so feel free to ask what's up then. ]

[Mami had been sitting on the shore for a little bit, dangling her toes in the water and watching the guy in the wetsuit determinedly swimming to the rock and back. The next time he stops on the shore, her curiosity gets the better of her and she approaches him.]

It looks like you're working pretty hard out there. Were you on a swim team back home or something of the sort?

[ he seems a little surprised, but he stops obligingly. ] Nothing like that. I just don't want to fall out of shape.

[ he's breathing pretty heavily from the workout, but he gives his best smile regardless. ] It's good to have something to do, don't you think?

FOOD (ALL DAY) teleologian July 19 2011, 23:34:09 UTC
[ Thanks to word that spreads like wildfire, some of your fellow Zodionites have been kind enough to bring food and drink. Picnic fare, grilled meats, fruits, veggies, cakes, punch, spiked punch -- there seems to be just enough for everyone. Be sure to thank or kiss the cooks.

If you're going to smash the watermelon, be courteous and try not to get it on the rest of the guests. 8( ]

[Rice? Rice is good. Touko is filling a plate with it and then using a fork to shovel it into her mouth. She doesn't get rice of any kind all that often, after all. Curiously, she saunters over to Abel and peers around him (since, well, she's presumably a few heads too short to peer over his shoulder).

...And, for that matter, totally forgetting what happened last conversation they had.]

Woah. Do you cook as a hobby? If this rice is yours, good choice!

MINGLING AND BONFIRE (NIGHTTIME) teleologian July 19 2011, 23:34:39 UTC
[ It's still temperate outside, but the air has cooled and the sun has sunk beyond the horizon, casting a blanket of night over the party. Perhaps you're done swimming for the day, or maybe you're the type that's fashionably late, but the darkness and the light of the bonfire, courteously tindered for everyone by Reno, make for shady deals, dancing, romance, drinking, or sharing stories. ]

[Lion fits into the "fashionably late" category, since swimming is not something he does. Because he doesn't really want to reveal his gender to everyone just yet. You know how it is.

So you may see Lion just mingling, or you may see him just sitting near the fire, staring into the flames while lost in thought. Approach?]

[ jun is also known for being rather androgynous - at least until he opens his mouth. he looks over at lion while sitting near the fire with a towel wrapped around his shoulders and notices him staring and looking sort of lonely... ]

Are you okay?

Mm? [Lion looks up at the unfamiliar voice.] Oh no, I'm fine. Just thinking about things, I suppose.

CLEANING UP/DEPARTURE (NIGHTTIME) teleologian July 19 2011, 23:35:03 UTC
[ You know the saying goes: Always leave a place cleaner than it was before you arrived. If any kind folks want to stay after to help clean and put out the fire, it would certainly be a big help!

Or you could try and sneak off, or casually stroll out with whoever you're bedding tonight. Surely no one will notice; it's the wee hours of the morning and everyone is too tired to complain... ]

[ alright he may not have actually been at the party per se, but mr straight laced detective will show up around the end to maintain a watchful eye and make sure people are getting home alright. of course all that really amounts to is kind of standing around awkwardly looking around and feeling very out of place, so much so that he'll start going around to clean things up after a while.

...it's something to do. and he feels a bit accomplished as he does it, admiring his handiwork every once in a while. wait what did he come here for again? ]

Got stuck cleaning up, huh?

[Somehow Yuri has appeared behind him. He probably should have left already, but whatever. He's probably nice enough that he'll start helping with the chores, too, in a minute, but right now he's just decided to say hi to the one person who seems to actually be cleaning stuff up.]

Eh? Oh... no, not exactly.

[ he looks a bit flustered when he realizes that someone's noticed him, but just shakes his head. ] I hadn't really given it any thought... [ though he picks up another discarded piece of trash anyway. ] It just felt like something I should be doing.
