[ when the VIDEO feed starts, an extremely fair woman is shown, lips curled into an attractive smile for a moment, almost as if she were modeling for something-- but within an instant, the expression is turned into that of irritation, her free hand visible at the corner of the display, showing long, kept-nails but most importantly-- there's a chip

yeah, she's just realized that every one of her belongings as well as her fortune is kind of...still...back there. how disgusting. how is she supposed to live here with only a supposed allowance? she isn't some scraggler living on the higher-ups, she's...
no TV? no radio? so, what, was this-- albeit expensive-looking-- device the only manner of... ]
Such charms don't seem to make up for what is lacking, in my mind. I suppose as long as the rooms are sparse rather than atrocious in their own right something can be done aesthetically, but really-- no television or radio? No transport?
[ sighing, she brings long nails up to the bridge of her nose, tapping it in displeasure. ]
How arcane.
[ this does pose a problem just as great as the obvious, though. with only the network (theoretically), how is she to gather followers for...? ]

he feels junko. he really, really does. N was looking forward to watching tv too.]

Many of us have been here for awhile, so it wouldn't surprise if you found that most people here seemed okay with acquiescing to such vulgar demands. Unfortunately, with no way to leave and little else but the network to occupy our time, there really isn't much else we can do in the form of resisting.

[meaning complaining is out of the question.]

I see. People reduced to their most primitive state.
[ sigh... she doesn't sound very pleased with that, but to be honest? there are much worse things to be (supposedly) forced to commit yourselves to. they could very easily be put into literal slavery, should these disgusting beings have wished it if they'd had the power to bring them here in the first place.
...now, that doesn't mean she likes the prospect. no, she hates it. it's demeaning, below her. but... ]
They don't? They'll have to make an exception, then, or at least expect to be questioned the moment they do.

[ she pauses, unsure of whether she should...oh well, it doesn't hurt to be polite, once in awhile. ]
Thank you. I am relieved there are those here who share my concerns.

You are most certainly welcome, Miss. I hope your adjustment to Zodion is as trouble-free as possible. I am N. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

[ ...the best, that is. come on, there's only so many lines she can use don't judge. while her nicety could certainly be contested, there's no doubt that this conversation has put N in her good graces. ]
Why, pleased to meet you..."N". My name is Junko Kurosu. I'm sure we'll speak again.
