another manic monday?
Wednesday nite marked the first of a long awaited trio of happenings...I met Yuki for the first time...I met Debs for the first time...I was in P's house for the first time...The Whalers took their bi-annual trip to Long Island this past Wednesday trying to avenge their bitter 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Isles just a year ago...The Whalers knew that on THIS trip they'd not only be watched by Brad and myself, but by Andy and Yuki as well...That being said, and unlike last year, they came out guns a blazin...Hartford jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back, gettin sweet revenge on the Isles and going on to shut them out by a final score of Whalers-2 Isles-0
Of course, me and andy were threatened various times by the Islanders couple in back of us...If we got up and cheered for Hartford ONE more time, they were going to push us over the banister and knock our teeth out...Now it's perfectly fine for a drunken man at a sporting event to talk trash...I am used to it...It is cool...I do it myself...However, when a wife starts talking trash and leaves the game early, there is a problem...Mrs. trash talker, if you are reading this, know that you're a phoney and that you're not allowed to say anything...You prolly wouldn't know hockey if it bit you in the ass, and you're only there cuz your husband made you go, b/c you made him go to your ballet...Anyway, back at P's house, it was a huge success...No chai, but I got a piece of pie, and got to meet yuki, debs, missy, mckenna, the dad, smokey, and the family friend/neighbor/uncle person who tried to steal andy's jacket...
That was the start of a busy last couple of days, esp w/ work, the BR and ANDY visit, and thanksgiving...
In the crowd at the Whalers game, there were 3 other whaler jerseys, and one was parked next to us...
At this point, Degrassi is getting too great...so ahead of it's time, so cunning, controversial, and fiesty...so much nudity, and intenseness...It may be the best show on television...I just don't know how they do it...it's just...I can't even fathom it at this point...esp with the new manny, the new emma, and how they look...and act...not to mention the new tractor...
At bowling nite tomorrow...no mercy will be shown...prisoners will be siezed, and kept...and there will be no turning back...We win for the 2nd week in a row tomorrow and REALLY capture our place as champions...knocking the jeremy/niner team into the heavens...and send them a sour defeat...look out folks..it WILL not be pretty...and i'm talking about the GIANT SLICK oil stain on brad's green shirt from the bowling alley on friday...
