War Journal Entry number 182 update

I'm a happy camper!

moominmuppet also got me the last two Robotech novels that I needed. Now I do have all of the printed stories and the animated episodes. I've even got 2 out of the 3 videogames (not much point in getting the Gameboy Advance one since I don't have a GBA).

I watched Robotech when it was on TV back twenty odd years ago but I was too young to appreciate it. It was just something that was on between shows I liked and I couldn't understand why there was all this kissing and shit. (It may have helped form some of my later liberal attitudes as one of the ass-kicking fighter pilots is also a transvestite rock singer.)

A couple of years later a friend introduced me to the novels and I read all of the ones out at the time, eighteen of them, within the span of two weeks. The novels are the real source of my love for Robotech to the point that watching the cartoon, which is the original thing, doesn't mesh with what I have in my head at times. Especially some of the voices. Still, I don't approve of the new redubbed versions that are currently coming out because now instead of just a few voices being "off" they all are.

Anyway, just for fun I thought I'd list the novels in chronological order. It's a boggler:

Robotech #1-6, 19, Robotech: The Sentinels #1-5, Robotech 20, 7-9, 21, 10-12, and 18.

Robotech: The Sentinels 1-5 are counted as books 13-17 though that is never said anywhere. Don't you love creative numbering? Plus, the Sentinels novels take place in another galaxy and the time dillation of their trips there and back lead to further timeline fun that is far too involved to get into here.
