Amazon pissed me off.
I returned a couple of books that I got as a gift because someone else had gotten me them. I feel stupid, but am still annoyed with Amazon, that I didn't know that using their pre-paid return label would cut the gift refund in half.
It worked out like this for each book.
Item Details:
Price $6.99
Shipping $0.99
Prepaid Return Label Deduction $-3.99
Total: $3.99
That's right, even though I shipped the two books back in a single package they took $3.99 off each one.
Is that fair?
Sure, I understood that it would be taking the postage out of the refund, but $7.98 seems exorbitant for two small paperback novels through the mail.
(I don't blame you at all, Sarah, it's completely Amazon I'm annoyed with. If I'd known they would charge that much I would have paid the shipping myself.)
Should I call and bitch?
