I just learned 5 minutes ago that Charles Manson never personally killed any of his victims, or so it is said...that was taken care of by his cult, the Manson Family, in 1969 and 70.. (he also carved a swastika on his forehead and is rotting away in prison somewhere, currently) this is a very interesting, short read: http://www.bbc.co.uk/crime/caseclosed/charlesmanson.shtml

also interesting to glance at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_serial_killers_by_country

Thug Behram, a gang leader of the Indian Thuggee cult of assassins, has frequently been said to be the world's most prolific serial killer. According to numerous sources, he was believed to have murdered 931 victims by strangulation by means of a ceremonial cloth (or rumal, which in Hindi means handkerchief), used by his cult between 1790 and 1830, thus holding the record for the most murders committed by a single person in history. In total, the Thugs as a whole were responsible for approximately 2 million deaths according to Guinness. The notoriety of the Thugs had eventually led to the word thug entering the English language as a term for ruffians, miscreants, and people who behave in an aggressive manner towards others.

it's the perverse hedonistic serial killers that really, really disturb me and I have a hard time thinking about (gacy, dahmer)

and how many deaths is Stalin responsible for? how many millions? that for some psychological reason doesn't bother me (or the general public, it seems) like the holocaust

I had some tequila tonight, for the first time proper, with salt and lime, and I must say it wasn't horribly unpleasant. I also had some captain morgan rum which was also kind of nice. but let's not encourage drunkenness. I am going to try to wake up for church tomorrow in pensacola
