Sort of want to smack Spock. Hasn't he learned by now not to leave Jim alone for long? Like everything that's happened before wasn't enough to learn the lesson... *scowls at Spock* Your science can wait, buddy. There are more important things and you're being a jerk. Hell, look at Jim. One practically needs to be on suicidal watch around him, not leave him to himself.

Oh Jim. From sleeping around to self-harm, what next? You're so messed up, kid. And it looks like you need a better anchor. *scowls*

I missed your updates. ;)

see, part of the problem with logic is that it kind of hamstrings any emotional decisions you may want to make, like, say, not preparing for your own future in deference to taking care of your fucked-up little friend...

and jim's not suicidal; he's coping. :) and he and spock are still kind of caught in a bit of a mutual rejection society, soo...

thanks for missing them. :)

but Spock can totally bond with Jim and take out of earth, or to his house!
if Jim is the fiancée, Jim's life could be better and a link between them could anchor Jim!

so i think Spock is not being logically using all in his power to accomplish everything he needs and wants he is not 7 anymore, there are things he can do, and he is not doing anything.

(sorry, but i'm so sad for Jim, i really can't take it)
please save him now!!

but honey, i don't think he can. they're both underage- they'd have to have parental permission for such things, and even if spock could convince sarek and amanda, frank's sure not going to agree.

there may be things that spock could be doing better, sure. but his hands are still kind of tied. and meanwhile, jim's flailing around instead of finding solutions- he's caught in his own trap.

it's ok- it will be ok. i promise. :)

this was wonderful. I do like this story and I was anxious for an update. I had one question though: Was Winona speaking to Frank through a Comm or was she there?

Thank you for sharing :-)

I am as taken with this story as ever. Love how you transitioned form the sweet kids to the emotional turmoil of teenagers. Jim's "adventures" and abandonment issues are very credible. Very enjoyable chapter, thank you for sharing. :D

aw, thanks. i'm glad you're still liking it. i have worried about losing readers both with updates too far apart, and with subject matter, so it's nice to see some folks are still with me. :D

thanks for reading, bb.
