Summary: kid!Yixing AU. Yixing does not want Luhan to go play soccer with his friends.
"No!" Yixing whines as he tugs on his older brother's shirt sleeve, tears threatening to run down his cute chubby cheeks. "You promised to spend time with Xingie the next time you have a day off from work."
"I know I did, Yixing. I'll come back in a couple of hours and watch whatever movie you want, okay?" Luhan says and cups his younger brother’s cheeks, rubbing his thumbs against those adorable cheeks. "Stop crying, please?"
"No! I want to spend the whole day with Luhan ge!" Yixing shouts and fat tear drops start making their way down Yixing's cheeks, breaking Luhan's heart even more.
"But Luhan ge hasn't spent any time with his friends lately. Please, Yixing? Only for a couple hours, I swear," Luhan coos and refrains from pinched Yixing's cheeks when he cutely shakes his head.
Probably was a good idea he didn't. It would have made Yixing even madder.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Yixing cries and breaks free from Luhan's grasp to wrap his short arms around Luhan's neck, burying his face at the crook of Luhan's neck.
As Luhan was just about to say something, his back pocket vibrates and his ringtone starts sounding. He sighs and reaches back to pull it out of his pocket, swiping it to answer the call. "What's up, Jongdae?"
"Dude, where the hell are you? You were supposed to be here ten minutes ago!" Jongdae shouts and Luhan could hear someone in the background shouting 'goal!’
"I know, sorry. Yixing won't let me leave. I promise him last week that I'd hang out with him on my next day off so now he won't even let me leave for a couple hours," Luhan explains and chuckles when he feels Yixing start pounding his small fists against his chest.
"Oh damn, need help convincing him?"
"Please."
"I'll be there in 5."
The doorbell rings exactly five minutes later and Luhan opens the door with a crying Yixing in his arms.
"Holy shit, he's crying," Jongdae swears and quickly apologizes when Luhan shoots him a death glare.
"Yixing, say hi to Jongdae ge," Luhan says and nudges his little brother when he refuses to even look at Jongdae.
"No! He's here to take ge away from me," Yixing pouts and wraps his arms around Luhan's neck.
The two eighteen year olds heart melt a little and Luhan pecks Yixing on the forehead. "Yixing, don't you love me?" Jongdae says, hand clutched over his chest as if he was deeply hurt.
"Yes," Yixing mumbles quietly and Jongdae almost squeals.
Luhan shoots him another glare and tightens his grip around Yixing. "He's my little brother."
Jongdae rolls his eyes and reaches out both arms, signalling for Luhan to pass Yixing over. Luhan reluctantly gives Yixing over and is surprised the younger was so willing to go into Jongdae's arms.
"Luhan ge was telling me that Yixing won't let him go play soccer. Why is that?" Jongdae hums and lifts Yixing slightly to readjust his grip on the younger so he wouldn't fall.
"Ge promised me he'd play with me on his next day off."
"Why don't you come with us and watch your ge play with his friends? I'll sit with you off to the side to cheer your ge on. He's good at soccer, right?"
Yixing bites his bottom lip in contemplation and the two older could feel the hope rising. It all crashes down when Yixing shakes his head and tries to reach over to go back into his brother’s arms. Jongdae takes a step away from Luhan so Yixing remains in his arms. They could see the tears well up in his eyes again and Jongdae starts to panic.
"What if I told you Wufan ge would be there?" Jongdae blurts out and the tears quickly disappear in Yixing's eyes as he turns to look up at Jongdae with wide eyes.
"He will?" Yixing asks cutely and smiles widely when Jongdae hesitantly nods.
"Okay, I'll come along then," Yixing laughs and claps his small hands together in happiness.
Luhan remains standing at the door of his house in shock as Jongdae, with Yixing in his arms, start making their way towards the park where the rest of Luhan's friends are waiting. Jongdae stops when they're at the corner of the block and turns around, shouting, "hurry up, Luhan! You're so slow!"
"Ge, faster! I want to see Wufan ge!" Yixing shouts after and giggles when Luhan looks at him with wide eyes.
"You want to see Wufan???" Luhan shrieks and brings his hands up to cup his own face. "My brother wants to see Wufan. Oh god. But I'm his older brother. This shouldn't be happening!"
"We're leaving first, Luhan. Come when you accept the fact that Yixing would rather play with Wufan than you," Jongdae shouts and laughs when Luhan growls and comes running after them in order to get his younger brother back.
