Remember all that ice?

My town is now a lake. It's far too warm for a February day and the world is melting. The street beside my building has a puddle which currently spans maybe 20 feet across the entire width of the road. The sides of the street are still piled with snow, blocking all drainage points and thus there is no where for the water to go. I had thought about venturing out to find some coffee and maybe a few groceries but my suede boots are remarkably awful at repelling water.

I finished sewing the sweater blanket late last night. I powered through and got all 80 squares sewn first into long strips and then one large block. I think I may add another two or three strips to the sides. I have left over blocks and the bigger the better. I'm still contemplating what the next step will be. I have to finish the outside edge somehow and I may add partly decorative partly not extra stitching on each block just to secure the edges a bit more. So far I'm pretty happy with the way it's turned out. The colours may not be the best thing in world and there's a lot of cat hair stuck to it that I'm going to have to use an entire lint roller to remove but it's very cozy and will make for good snuggling.
