The cat is starring up at me lazily from the laundry basket. I must be home.

I'm surrounded by bags and bags of luggage. Did I actually bring all of this stuff with me for my one week away? I'm in the process of summoning the energy to start unpacking and tidying. Seven days in my mother's decidedly clutter free home have got me thinking that this little space of mine is a little too packed to the rafters. I definitely have nowhere to put any of this stuff but I don't want to get rid of a lot of things. I'll be moving into a larger place in less than two months and I'll need things to make it look cozy. Right now it's more reminiscent of a storage closet.

We stopped at the most fantastic little yarn shope one afternoon on the way home from a day trip to one of the adorable little villages in Prince Edward County. Packed to the rafters (this time literally!) with dozens of brands that I had given up on finding in Canada - Debbie Bliss, Noro...sigh. It was like heaven. Heaven with big hairy spiders but heaven all the same. I didn't buy anything (no money and the fear of spiders!) but the owner spent twenty minutes talking my ear off. She's moving into Picton in the coming weeks. Of course this means I will be spending far too much time and money there. What with the lack of spiders and all.

I did pick up some Lett Lopi wool to make the Lopi Tote. Sadly I didn't buy needles so I have to wait to make it. In my defence I assumed that somewhere among the dozens and dozens of needles that I inherited from my grandmother there would probably be 9mm circulars. I was wrong. Everything else but!

The yarn purchasing expedition also included an encounter with one of the ugliest dogs I have ever, ever met. A Chinese Crested hairless...Scary ugly. But it loved me so I won't complain too loudly. I wasn't even in the store five minutes before it was following me around and playing hide and seek. That made up for the ugly. Kind of.
