Israellll
Monday: went to Ido's, then to the Grand Canyon (2nd biggest mall in the middle east, the biggest is in Jerusalem), with him and Gali, thennn I went back to Ido's, and Omri decided he wasn't going to Tel Aviv, Ido had a rehersal at 6, so Rina(their mom) dropped him off, then dropped me off at my grandparents cuz she was coming to see her rents. my grandparents dropped me off at the train station, train'd to T"A, taxi'd, got to Adi's.. we hungout for abit, then headed to the show.. the shows here are so much like the shows in ottawa! the people look the same, act the same.. and pretty much are exactly the same.. it was a little weird. the first band was a Common Rider cover band they were really good, then DohDoh and Yoni's band played and they were an Operation Ivy cover band.. and they were amazing, and then was a Rancid cover band.. they were pretty good.. not amazing. the guitarist looked framiliar, so i asked Asher who he was cuz he looked like Ishay from Useless ID.. and he looked.. and it was him! and it was super cool.. and he's a really chill guy.. we kinda spoke to him afterwards. but i wont have time to see Useless ID here.. theyre playing in tel aviv on the 15th and haifa on the 17th.. grrrr. I wanted to go! and it's oly 50shekels ($13ish.. and theyre a really big band! haha they just finished touring in japan/china/etc).. so at the show i met abunch opf Adi;s friends.. I finally met DohDoh haha Adi and I got there and he came running at us.. sweetest guy everrrr! aaand I finally met Asher, and Yoni, and Gal.. and all these people. very fun. Adi/DohDoh bought me plenty of vodka and orange juice (haha i'm so russian).. the shows here onlyl start at like 10 or 11.. this one was at 11, 3 bands.. ended close to 2. and then we just hungout, and Yoni came over to Adi's
Tuesday: we woke up Yoni around 11, and the 3 of us walked to Yaffo (1hour each way from Adi's), we walked along the beach.. so pretty. but it was fuckin' hot with the sun. so we got there, had the best humus everrr, then walked through a shook, and I found a DVD for Yoni(canadian one), 5shekels (less than $2, can't go wrong), Bob Marley & the Wailers, interviews and clips from live preformances etc.. thennn we walked back to Adi's, Yoni left, Adi and I went to a mall.. not such great stores.. she bought a shirt, and i bought a pair of jeans.. went back to her place, she went to the gym, so I was Israeli and took a nap haha.. when she got back we met up with a friend of hers and went for sushi (even better than the place in haifa, yum).. thennn went back to Adi's and just hungout with her roomates and Benny's girlfriend whose really quiet/shy.
Wednesday: Josh had some interview from a reporter from the Jerusalem Post for Olim Chadashim (every friday they write about new immigrants) so they interviewd him this week.. i dunno how they chose him. so some journalist came over.. so we pretty much couldn't leave Adi's room.. so we snuck out, and walked to the train station (45 mins+really hot sun+backpack=not fun), got to Haifa around 2, bused to the merkaz, and Adi and I made a bouquet of flowers at a florist place.. came here.. did Pesach stuff.. called a few people and said chag sameach, etc.... and then after Ido and Omri came downstairs for awhile..
today: we were supposed to go to Akko around 10 or 11am, but then Adi made plans to go out with a friend cuz she hasnt seen him in forever.. so she left, and its now 12:30.. and we still haven't left.. ugh, this'll be a long day.. i'm gonna call Ido later, and we'll meet up with people.. aaand friday it's supposed to be hot and sunny, so we're gonna try and go to the beach..
sunday=back to tel aviv... tuesday=back to haifa... thursday=back to tel aviv... friday night=airport
I don't want to leave!! I hate Canada now.. and I'm moving back here, grr.
I'll post pics from the last couple days when I have more time.
