job shadowing my mom tomorrow, social worker. it's gonna be boring. ppl said they'd call/text me.. so that'll be good. afterwards my mom and i are going to go look at the contacts and buy a trial pair, yesss. i'm quite excited, but Yoni said that the first week is hell, haha. and went on thie full 10 min talk on what happens, and how to fix it, and don't do this, do that, etcetc. it was pretty amusing, and he pretty much freaked me out ahah.
soo, yesterday lunch. he started by showing up 15+ mins late. *he got a new car, again. then we went to East Side Mario's it was kinda akward.. the first thing he did was say "before i forget, i want to give you money for israel." and gave me cash to change to shekels. and then i was just thinking, crap.. i can't mention the broken memory card now/need money.. haha. so i asked about the cruise he got back from around 2 weeks ago.. he spent 10 mins talking about the food.. and you can only say "wow" or "that sounds so good!" so many times in 10 mins.. aaand then we talked more about him and his little family and his step-sons (who are 13 and 17, and he's 77!).. aaand then i decided to mention the camera. so i started with "have you seen pictures from Adi's? the view from her balcony is gorgeous!" and went into how i got a camera for chanukah, and the memory cards, etc. and one broke,and i'm saving up.. and he didn't say much.. so i changed the subject, and we talked about him somemore. dropped me off at school.. and the car ride back, he spent more than half of it on the phone.
