I hope everyone had a lovely Fourth of July! I spent the day working at the barn, then at a party at Bartalbabe's house. We ate A LOT, then we went down to the tennis courts in her housing community. I didn't play at all, but almost everyone else took turns playing around. After that we went back and went swimming in the pool. Seems to me that no matter how old we get Marco Polo is always a classic pool game. Eventually things dissolved into everyone beating each other with pool noodles. I'm pretty sure somebody was taking pictures, so I'll have to see if I can get my hands on them.
Our city was very strict about fireworks this year. They're illegal every year, but usually there's a special leniency on the Fourth of July, but since they're all so strict this year we only had a couple of smoke bombs and sparklers to set off ourselves this year.
It was lovely to sleep in this morning! I woke up at my usual time on my own, but then rolled over and went back to sleep. What bliss.
