McCain on this constitutionally Christian country

McCain thinks the constitution established the United States as a Christian Nation. Sounds to me like he hasn't actually read the constitution.

Yeah, I'll be voting for the professor of constitutional law instead.

What was the deal with McCain going on Degeneres? Do you have any insight as to what he was hoping to accomplish by that?
