Critical Malaise

Hrm.

My ride has cancelled due to forecasted bad weather and some personal issues.

I have commitments there, but no camp-mates or immediate circle to hang with.

I could use the time at home for a lot of things.

The result is I'm feeling mighty ambivalent about the whole thing.

Thoughts?

Feeling obligated does not make for the foundation of a good trip.

My suggestion: check in with those commitments and see how much you are needed. Either you will get the reassurance that you can take back out gracefully, or you may find yourself more excited about going to support them.

If neither of the two happens, then seriously think about what you need to do for you. Then fully support yourself in your decision. Being in one place while wishing you were in another is not conducive to happy making.

You'd be welcome in camp Fight Labs if you show-up. I'm SO behind in my process...am currently finishing a work issue. J&C show-up at o-dark thirty here this morning (it is morning now, technically) to load up the borrowed SUV and trailer with stuff. We've other folks coming out later (Hank, GT, others that I don't know well...think Mez is coming later, seperately--some of those are Friday IIRC). But we have a kung-fu class at 4:00 we have to be there to teach.

You could break out some of your mad old-skool kung-fu training skillz if you come hang with us. We are pot-lucking it. We have stoves, music, generator, shade structure.

Not gonna guarantee our predominately-designed-for-BM-shade structure is gonna provide much shelter from the rain that is apparently occurring out there. We're making some last minute acquisitions of tarps that will help, hopefully.
