Rhonda Baker, formerly Rhonda Wheeler, has illustrated multiple books for midwives and their clients. Holistic Midwifery Vol I was the first volume illustrated for Anne Frye, followed by Healing Passage, Understanding Diagnostic Tests, and the long-awaited Holistic Midwifery Volume II (with "over one thousand, six hundred drawings"). She also provided drawings for Henci Goer's Thinking Woman's Guide to Better Birth.

Also as Rhonda Wheeler she published a short story in the Lesbian "first time stories" anthology Early Embraces, a piece titled "Palmetto Bugs".

As Rhonda Baker she also published a zine called "Zuzu and the Baby Catcher".

Rhonda Baker lives in Portland, OR, with her husband, two children, and her beloved cat. She is currently working on her first novel.

Man, I've done quite a bit of stuff. ;-)

Bowling with the Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Getting a hug from Peter Yarrow?

No, I think it's being the comic relief in Beyond Black Rock. (I haven't seen it yet, though.)

Great question. I don't really have a claim to fame, so to speak, but I've heard more than once, "Gee, we all were THINKING that, but none of us were going to ACTUALLY SAY IT!"

lately, it's a calendar photo of me, covered in saran wrap and bike parts.

I am continually surprised (especially at parties) how many strangers recognize me from that picture.

It's not yet January, so the center spread is hanging up next to the computer.

see! see! I'm sitting here, surprised, right now. And singing "it's a small world after all" to myself.
