Oh dear...
My laptop has been kindof unstable lately. This morning, between crashes, I got a dialog box I've never seen before. The built in memory test detected a problem. Please contact a service technician. Uh-oh. Rebooted into OS X cause it's more stable and ran the standard system check bits. System profiler reported one of my 256MB SIMMs as 512MB. So I pulled it apart, and moved the memory around, intending to test each one, etc. And now it won't boot. At first it would chime, but then nothing. After more dis- and re-assembly to make sure everything is seated properly... nothing. The power key does nothing. It's plugged in with two fully charged batteries. I've reset the power manager. Nothing. *sigh* So in we go to service. Wish me luck.
