So today is the second day of cutting my anti-depressant in half. I was previously taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL, and now I'm taking 150mg. So far I still feel pretty great, but I've read on the internet that you don't begin to feel the withdrawl side effects for two weeks. Then again, these are all from "medically" approved sources. I asked some people on meta-filter about their experiences withdrawling from Wellbutrin and they said that there were little - to few effects, or that if there was a withdrawl depression, it wasn't really that bad.
As a precaution, I'm swearing off of alcohol and anything else that could be a depressant. I'm also going to keep careful track of my mental state, noting that if I do begin to feel irrationally awful about something - it is a trick of the mind and nothing more.
Also, I've begun to take energy and mood boosting multi-vitamins, in addition to cod liver oil - because cod liver oil boosts brain functionality.
