I don't think you're arrogant.

Maybe I hide it well.

It's not real arrogance if you don't flaunt it.

There's such a thing as unconscious, well-intentioned arrogance, you know.

Or maybe you don't.

I didn't say the flaunting had to be conscious. Not everyone can be me, you know.

Really?

Yep! For one thing, I refuse to share Draco. Although I think Draco would like having lots of mes around. Hmm.

Dude! Are you watching the Berlin Championship thingy? Usain Bolt just beat his own World Record for the 100m sprint again. That is one speedy guy right there. Also, he has the best name for a professional runner ever.

No, I haven't been. My interest in sports pretty much stops at baseball, really. But yes, Bolt is a fantastic name for a runner. Although, answer something for me if you would, I'm curious-- does it mean anything?

Does it mean anything that Usain Bolt runs fast? When Jean-Paul can circle the block twenty times before he can finish his 100m sprint?

What? Of course it does. Don't be ridiculous.

Don't pretend my question is self-obviously absurd; it's a valid query. Why does it mean something, Mike? What ramifications does it have if the very pinnacle of human achievement, if the end result of years of brutal, all-consuming training, is still laughably behind what somebody else can do without effort?

I don't... He ran fast. It's cool. That's its meaning. Jean-Paul is super-fast and that's also cool, but the two aren't related. One doesn't invalidate the other. Effort was still made, triumph was still had. Of course it means something.

It's easy to be gracious to those left in the dust when you're up in the sky, isn't it?

God created the world. What are we to that?

Nobody's in the Olympics against God, Mike.

Nobody's in the Olympics against Jean-Paul, either, but you seem to think he invalidates Bolt.

Because people said he couldn't be in the Olympics.
