(no subject)
Bonjour mes amis,
Ha ha, everything in the livejournal website is in french over here. But not that I can read it, or very much that is. I'm hoping to change that.
So, I have finally finished the first week of 5 hr french classes everyday. Not that I'm complaining; in fact, its quite awsome. I feel like I'm learning 10 times the rate I am in high school, which is prob true. Ironically enough, I also found out that I got an F in french CLASS. Oh well, such is life.
Oh, IB update: 5 in history and eng, and 4s in everything else. Not to bad, but I suppose I prob could have done better. Now here's the funny part; you know my extended essay? The one that McQueen was all psychotic about? Well, it turned out I got a B. Ha! Not bad for writing it in 24 hrs the night before.
There's not that much to say about Paris for now, I still haven't seen alot of the major landmarks yet. I'm taking my time. Although I did go into the Louvre for the first time yesterday. There's nothing quite like standing in front of the actual piece of art that you've seen so many times before in photographs. And yes, I did see the Mona Lisa; but the feeling isn't the same. I expected the painting to be smaller, but its encased in this hugh glass case, surrounded by way too many people. Couldn't really get that mysterious Di-Vinci-Code feeling. And we only had an hour in there cus we got there at 8. The museum is free on Fridays from 6 - 9 for those under 26, just a tip for those who might be coming to Paris in the future. I will definitly have to go back each Friday, there soo much to see.
Oh, wow, I realized I haven’t updated since Munich… I’ll have to do that… Right after lunch…
