(no subject)
Update time!
So I didn't get the job. I waited around for awhile and finally found out that they'd emailed me their decline rather than calling (which kinda annoyed me, I gotta be honest). I emailed back to ask why and if there were any shortcomings I could know about to work on, and they said, "There were no shortcomings. We decided to restructure our staff and promoted from within while hiring an entry level person instead. You have some good tech skills that are going to add value to another clinic."
So he either didn't want to admit I had shortcomings or I can at least take solace in knowing it wasn't my fault. Not sure which I'm going for right now.
So basically now I'm probably going to email my old work and ask to come back. Hopefully I'll be able to because I really do need some kind of income here. I'm mostly OK with this, though I do have some concerns obviously. But hey. I did this once. I can do it again, right?
Matt's much more upset by this than I am. He really doesn't want to move to the mountains. He keeps telling me not to give up and apply somewhere else, but I just don't have the time now. I gots bills that need payin'.
Truth be told though, I am quite terrified at the thought of him driving in the snow. He's never really done it before and it can be scary up there O_O So I may not allow him to do that :P
I was really hoping to be employed by the holidays though. I want so badly to be able to get people gifts. Ah well. Next time, maybe.
Aside from that, the new expansion of WoW came out! Squee! Too bad I can't have it yet :( But I have my fingers crossed for Christmas. By 1am (an hour after its release) people had already started to get realm firsts, and in 6 hours someone already got to level 85. Some were saying that they're planned on taking today off from work just to get those things. These people frighten me.
