I think she has good reason to not trust her heart.

Now I have to write commentfic with Pete in it. I'm not sure how that will work out. O.o

Maybe? I wonder if she never trusted it at all because her brain cannot abide things she cannot explain? She seems to fall into the trap doing things that she thinks are expected of her when it comes to personal relationships, even her father before the Tok'ra straightened him out.

Post-Pete fic? Pre-Pete? Just so long as it's not re-Pete.

So, this caused me to remember that 2007 gabolange wrote several thousand words of meta about "Grace" and What Sam Really Wants, and so then I went to find it, and upon rereading it's totally an unpacking of different levels of feminist privilege? Which is really not what I was expecting when I went back to check on 2007 gabolange & friends.

It also includes the phrase "they had pretty boring sex," referring to S/J cabin fic, and contextually, this was a good thing. (Anyway. Memories!)

I'd forgotten how many different opinions there were about Grace. Wow. Good times. :). I wonder how that discussion would go now with eight years of personal baggage we're all carrying around? (I'm going to go back and read the comments on that post later because I am old now in this post-2007 world and sleepy ;)
