I have a black eye, there's a broken wheel looking thing outside my room and my dog keeps whining at me and trying to lick my face.

What'd I miss?

[Somebody got Sleeping Beauty'd. And hit in the face with the door after Castor opened in on him. Too bad girls don't like him and he got saved by his dog when she wanted to go out for a walk. Its sad

Yeah. [He'd never really had to explain this to anyone before, and he wasn't certain why he knew it himself. Just another one of those things the Sphere lets you hold onto.] The names came from our dreams, I mean, so do everyone else's, but Castor and Pollux were brothers in, some story. I don't remember the story, just the names. And, well there's something else about it but its kind of weird, so. Just forget it.

[He smiled lamely, regretting almost immediately going into the tangent about the true nature of the names Castor and Pollux. Though, it was inevitable sometimes he just said things without really meaning to, at least in situations like this. Luckily Kagerou had moved onto her exchange, and he hoped perhaps they could continue down that thread of conversation.]

Can't say I've ever talked to them on the Journals. I'll have to keep an eye out for them. You like them?

[He paused, looking up ahead for Boy, who was sniffing around near the base of a tree.]

Yeah, Castor lives there. Not really sure how he got to, but when he invited me to stay with him until the cold passed, he took me to the Spa. I know Inara well enough, she's nice, I've got to help around the spa sometimes just to sort of justify staying there. But, Boy's sort of their unofficial guard dog now, so, they kind of keep us around.

[She smiled back, guilelessly, and nodded at his explanation.]

My roommates? I don't think I'd live with them if I didn't like them. Well, they're both family to me, if that makes sense. Sphere family, anyway, but I think that's important in its own way. [Her smile turned softer and more distant for a second, then she followed his eyes to the prowling dog.]

So, Boy works for your room and board? [She giggled, mostly to show she wasn't serious.] That's a heavy responsibility on a puppy!
