After Dragun's sparkling recommendation, Kate and I went and watched 300 last night, followed by a discussion of how Christians should be less concerned with nudity and swearing and more concerned with...well, pretty much anything else. The nudity in 300 was even presented tastefully - the scene with the dancing girl can't be described as anything but art, and the sex scene wasn't lewd. Her breasts actually got less airtime during that scene than most movies with similar scenes, it was just shot so artfully that it expressed the desire and passion with such strength to make someone blush.
So yeah...Kate and I pretty much loved the movie. My one criticism is that I couldn't possibly picture myself on the side of a nation with such stick-thin coatrack women. The Persians actually had breasts, I think I'd defect sooner or later. Also, it could have had cake.
Or, y'know, more stars.
Or....acid?
