OOC: Atma Upgrade Notes
With a sort of kick in the butt from Gale-mun and watching her play DDS1 again, I've been inspired to (finally) write up Dyaus 2.0.
STAGE 1: Infection
Human Symptoms: Most notably would be the mood swings. Rather than the normal super happy-go-lucky Cielo attitude, he'll be happy and then crash down into either depression or sudden anger. In times of not Super Happy or Horribly Depressed or RAAAAGE, he'll be listless, wandering from one place to the next without any real intent on doing anything.
He'll also lose his appetite for sugary things in favor of meat (not necessarily cooked).
Atma Symptoms: Harder to control, significant increase of berserk mode. Sometimes his eyes will glow oddly or transformation lines will stay on his body for long periods of time. (He'll also be really self-conscious about them... just think about this stage as emoish teenager behavior.)
STAGE 2: Incubation
Human Symptoms: Mood swings happen more rapdily, combined with migraine-like headaches.Transformations are painful. He'll get more and more tired; napping all the time, sitting around, and, again, being listless. When not curled in the fetal position.
Atma Symptoms: As mentioned before, transformations will be painful and result in slower motions due to the soreness from transforming. His headspike thing is getting flaky-looking and seeming to grow larger, and same goes with both hand and foot claws. The random long-spike texture things all over his body are starting to die and fall off.
Despite the soreness and dying of more calcified parts of Dyaus' body, his appetite is even more voracious than before.
STAGE 3: Culmination/Atma Data Rewritten
Human Symptoms: More being curled in the fetal position. Complete loss of appetite. General being-in-pain activities. More migraines and general... insane behavior at times. Random spouting of Cyber Shaman Project nonsense.
Atma Symptoms: Prolonged instances of being in that form-- hours, sometimes spanning to a day at one particular point. Skin sheds to reveal a darker bluey skin color, blue scales on his feet, longer and more curved claws (raptor-like!) as well as a longer head-spike. Most curious of all would be the growth of feathers on his wings, and larger chest/back muscles to support actual flight. Feathers are the purple-green-pink pattern. Smaller tufts of feathers at hip area for... some kind of aerodynamic purpose or another.
RESULTS:
There isn't much of a human change; Cielo will be back to normal once his data is done being rewritten. His eyes will have a little bit more coloration to them, and appear almost predatory. As a result, he'll have a keener sense of vision in both night and day and possibly be able to see in ultraviolet, much like birds of prey do today.
As for the Atma, it will be more bird-like. Greater agility/stamina and capability of gliding, plus awesome-looking feathers. Dyaus will definitely be more like a bird of prey, what with those sharp talons and whatnot!
Magic-wise, he'll get more of an elemental affinity with electricity and be a little less susceptible to mind/nerve/etc ailments. They'll still throw him for a loop, though, if he doesn't somehow dodge the attack.
