Shopping Disaster.

This was the first time Cielo had been brave enough to stray far away from Redfield Apartments by himself. He'd left Naomi and the Tribble Trio in Sera's care, packed up his side bags with candy for the journey, and headed out

*Victoria had been making her normal sweep through the area when she heard, and more importantly, heard Dyaus' shriek. From a roof to a fire escape to a window to the stairs to another side and into the room skids Vic, barbeque fork drawn.*

Identify yourself, or face the consequen- *Vic pauses, looking at the beast. Looked like an Atma, after all.*

Cielo?

The creature turned its eyeless face to Victoria, upon hearing the name 'Cielo.'

"HUMAN... NOT..." Dyaus spoke in a savage, deep voice that was tinged with pain. "NOT FEED ME. HUMAN SEE PAST LIFE, I FEED SELF." He then snapped his razor-sharp teeth at the fork-weilding woman, almost tempting her. He was no match for something as pathetic as a fork, or so the demon thought.

[gale_force]

*Gale approaches the door to the apartment and stops. He gets a familiar feeling of foreboding. Junkyard instinct? Some deeper sense of circumstances lent by the Atma? It's potent whatever it is. Enough to make Gale tense and draw his concealed hunting knife before reaching for the knob. He finds the door suspiciously unlocked, and pushes it part-way open, scanning the apartment before stepping completely inside, back to the wall, blade brandished.*

*He notices Vic, Fred, and immediately, Dyaus' much larger form. And the blood. And that's when the adrenaline properly hits.*

Cielo!

*He rushes forward, and stops short, recognizing that Cielo isn't exactly himself.*

Victoria, Fred, keep clear.

[victoria_sage]

*Hey, this thing's one of those big, two-pronged armstabbers. :(*

*Vic somehow manages to frown in the demon's direction, despite having no face. She hears his words about a past life, as well, but keeps it for later.* Do not force me to subdue you. Revert, and we can properly see to you being properly fed.

I repeat, revert to Cielo, or suffer the consequences.

Dyaus thrashed his head around as Gale got near, getting his headspear dangerously close to Gale's leg. He gnashes his teeth, roaring.

"NOT TRUST HUMANS! HUMANS JUST FOOD!"

Gale, get back. His spike is right there.

*Vic circles around, careful careful, trying to get on his other side*

Dyaus, if you revert, will bring you to a place with food. Must revert. If not, will make you.

*Vic is prepared to, as well. Lines of earth energy snake on the the floor, very ready to snap up and around Dyaus. Thankfully, they are quite invisible to the naked eye.*

[gale_force]

*Gale sidesteps to avoid Dyaus' attack. He resheathes his knife. If it comes to using force, he will transform...For now he'll see if he can't reason with Dyaus.*

Dyaus...revert now. You are injured. We can treat your wounds, and provide you with sustenance if you return Cielo.

[ziohazard]

The demon hissed, not backing down. In fact, it thrashed around some more, and actually was able to get on its knees and move a little faster toward the vulnerable Fred.

[gale_force]

*Okay, time to dispense with reason. Gale transforms mid-leap and pins Dyaus to the floor, with one knee on the small of the Atma's back. He keeps a hand firmly at the base of his headspear to hinder any gouging motions.*

REVERT NOW.

[victoria_sage]

*Vic darts around the two Atma, managing to get next to Fred with little incident. She's very brusque as she speaks.*

We need to get away; don't need to get hurt, as well.

...*she turns to look at them, and her tone softens.* Vayu is on our side. Come on, let's go. *Vic takes his hand and starts trying to lead him past Dyaus and Vayu before it got real ugly.*

*She stops near the door.*

No. He is trying to subdue Dyaus. He is just going to knock him out. If he cannot, I will try.

[ziohazard]

Dyaus cried out in pain as Vayu landed on him; he just had to land on the injured side, now didn't he? Not that it would really matter in the long run. There was a crackling noise around Dyaus, and in the blink of an eye, a quick shock of electricity coursed through Dyaus and through anything else close enough for the current to jump to.

"WILL EAT YOU, THEN." The demon hissed and grabbed Vayu's wrist with his jagged teeth.

[gale_force]

*Dyaus summons the electricity too quickly for Vayu to properly defend. He braces himself for the shock, but that does little to reduce the horrible pain of his exploited weakness. Both of his hands and knee are still fixed to Dyaus by the current. He can't hear it through the agony, but Vayu shrieks in pain.*

*Once the spell loses its effect, Vayu slumps forward, his limbs stiff and shaking, and his wrist still caught in Dyaus' jaws.*

Dyaus wriggles his way out from under Vayu, and sinks his teeth into the base of his neck. His headspear grazes the side of Vayu's head, and also serves as a way to hold it back.

"YES... WILL ENJOY MEAL... HUMAN NOT FEED ME, MUST FEED SELF."
