On today:
-I found out I have a creepy neighbor. Okay, so he might really be a nice guy. But the whole thing where he has seen me everytime I have come to or from class creeps me out. Espeically since some of those times I haven't seen him. He told me "I saw you coming home late last night." Gah. Gah! The fact that he lives in the most dilapidated house on 7th Ave. does not help. I drove to class tonight.
-Why I am I majoring in asian studies, since I am almost certain I will never use it in the real world? Well, mainly I did it for fun.. and it was pretty fun up until this point. I think this seminar is going to make my life a lot more hellish.
-But I do feel more confident about my topic. I talked about a review I read for this japanese movie, Crazed Fruit, which was came out right after WWII and shocked a lot of people because it featured young people doing crazy things... like water skiing. After I said that the class kinda exploded into conversation about Japanese young people. My classmates gave me a lot of good ideas tonight. I'm thinking "Japanese Youth Culture: Then and Now."
