I made the right decision. I got to hold Grandma's hand and stroke her hair (which was still more red than gray) and give her a goodbye kiss. She was surrounded by three generations of loved ones when she died, and I'm so glad I got to be part of that. And as Grandpa said, I "have been instructed concerning how to die."
