I made a lot of hot cross buns. There are exactly three hours until church... should I even try to sleep?

Easter was good. Holy Week became yet another opportunity for me to examine my relationship to pain. Pain will always be there, and the person I become will have a lot to do with how I respond to it. My newest life goal is to become less and less afraid of it ( Read more... )

For the first time, I'm actively looking forward to Easter. This winter I felt my heart break and watched my grandmother die and cried for my mother. Now I am ready for spring, for the the good news: that things die, but then they come back, like Jesus, wounded but whole.
