(no subject)
This morning I got to meet jadeejf! She and her hubby and Miss B and I went out for breakfast at this cute little cafe on Hawthorne. I enjoyed spending time with her "in real life"; she's really easy to talk to. I'm really getting to enjoy this meeting LJ friends thing! I kinda wish we lived closer, although I guess Seattle is not that far away.
Ironically, I was considering taking the train to Seattle next weekend for Jess's goodbye party next weekend (she's quitting her day job to hike the Appalachian Trail!), but I don't know if I'll be able to make it, what with work and all. But a trip thataway does need to happen at some point, especially because Anna is there too for the moment. Also I want to see what Seattle is like. In my mind it's more or less an extension of Portland, but apparently they are rather different culturally.
B's mom is here for the weekend. We're planning to go to a Value Village sale, maybe make vegan waffles, see The Importance of Being Earnest downtown. And I am going to volunteer and apply for a cool nonprofit job too, I hope. Whew.
Just got finished reading _grayswandir_'s latest excellent new poem. I wrote a poem in between calls at work this week. It's been awhile since I wrote anything! I should post it.
