First day in cubicle world went pretty well! Granted, things haven't gotten crazy yet, but I won't let that fact diminish my pride in this good day. I took 12 calls today (more than any of my nearby coworkers) and they were all fine. No one screamed, "You don't even know Spanish! I want to speak with your manager!" In fact, most people thanked me for answering their questions and were very nice.
I feel empowered. I remember when I hated to talk to strangers on the phone at all, and now here I am taking people's questions in Spanish. Yay getting paid more for knowing stuff. Also, I get free bus passes for this job, so that is all to the good.
Tomorrow I am going in for a half day, then coming home and doing some secret last minute Valentine's Day stuff, and then in the evening Rob will come over to watch the finale of the Forsyte Saga.
