Got back from camp on Thursday night. It was intense and fun and I'm so glad I got the chance to be staff. I got to bake 130 people's worth of bread every day and I enjoyed it a lot. And I made some new friends. Hard to describe briefly, but I kept a paper journal while I was there which I will maybe transcribe one of these days. Oh, and I also have pictures, which will be going up on Facebook. Hopefully someone will soon post a half-decent one of me bellydancing to "Rock the Casbah" in a camp talent show.

It's good to be back in Corvallis for the time being. I missed family dinners (although I'm even more addicted to cooking grotesquely huge amounts now), the kitties (both here at the farm and at the animal shelter where we volunteer our love), and biking through town. And of course, Buzzy. Two and a half weeks apart without phone or email was hard enough... how did we manage six weeks last summer?

I've started applying for baking jobs, which is going rather better than applying for secretary jobs. Go figure. God willing, I will have two interviews in Portland over the next two days. Those two days will also involve going to OMSI for free, voodoo doughnuts, and sleeping over at Steph and Taylor's. I hope this is the beginning of the beginning of my life in Portland, for real!
