It's finally warm here! I'm wearing my farm skirt and toast-and-egg earrings in celebration of the beginning of Food Truth week. The Everyone Should Eat Community Potluck (my baby!) is tonight and promises to be huge. My fridge is full of lentil salad. Mmm mmm.
And I just checked my mail and got a letter saying I got distinction on my comps! Not that it's the most important thing in the world, but nice anyway. And the department also awarded me the American Philological Association Outstanding Student Award, which I've never heard of before, but is also a nice thing.
So I'm in a really good mood today! Lately I've started to panic a little bit about the future, I have to admit, but as usual the Indigo Girls are right:

If used to a country mile
When you're learning to take the path at your pace
