Buzzy is officially coming for my comps! And since she got an amazing ten days off, she can come to Midwinter Ball as well. She says she's gonna make me eat and sleep in the week before my talk. I can't believe that's only a month away! I have my first meeting with Clara tomorrow. Anyway, having B there will give me extra motivation to make it good.
Church tonight. I even brought Rob along! I gave a silent prayer of healing for some of my friends and mentors who are going through hard times (you probably know who you are) and a prayer of thanksgiving for all the wise older people who have come into my life lately. To give just one example, Dixon came to brunch this week smiling, welcomed us back and told us to enjoy the day. Especially at this time in my life when I have to make choices about how to live, I love being around elders who have lived their lives well and joyfully.
