Yo, ladies, do you have recommendations for reusable menstrual products? My main concerns are cost and effectiveness. I use pads now and would probably be most comfortable with reusable cloth ones, but even though they're not that expensive individually, I'd have to get quite a few because I typically bleed for no less than five days and I don't do laundry that often. Or could I just get a couple and handwash/dry the one I'm not using? Also, how hard is it to sew them yourself? Would you need special material to make them work well (I bleed quite heavily at the beginning of my cycle and overnight and often leak as it is)? A Keeper-type thing might be more practical in some ways, but I'm afraid it'd malfunction or make a mess, especially since I'd probably screw up putting it in. Also, TSS scares me, which is why I've never used tampons. But yeah, down with disposables. Thank you in advance.
