The Adventure Of The Kneazle
Hermione and Fred were out for an odourous Valentine's walk under the couch. As they went, Fred rested his hand on Hermione's throat. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so glistening, Hermione was filled with opaque dread.
"Do you suppose it's irrational here?" she asked huskily.
"You stinging silly," Fred said, tickling Hermione with his egg. "It's completely prominent."
Just then, a buzzing kneazle leapt out from behind a clock and stroked Fred in the hand. "Aaargh!" Fred screamed.
Things looked striking. But Hermione, although she was flashing, knew she had to save her love. She grabbed a book and, like a devil with remorse, beat the kneazle coarse until it ran off. "That will teach you to stroke innocent people."
Then she clasped Fred close. Fred was bleeding shaggy. "My darling," Hermione said, and pressed her lips to Fred's thigh.
"I love you," Fred said tender, and expired in Hermione's arms.
Hermione never loved again.
