OMG I pulled apart my Les Paul!
I was talking with my dad about how to paint a guitar and I was inspired to finally do it!
The plan--to replace the machine heads with chrome ones, and refinish the non-replaceable hardware to from gold to chrome. Then I'm going to strip the paint or at least sand the finish down a bit and do a sort of reverse silverburst. It will be dark silver/black in the middle, and fade to white on the outside.
It's an older one and it's in pretty bad shape so I won't feel too bad if it turns out terrible. But yikes, I have such a pit of worry in my stomach that I won't be able to wire it back together!
In the meantime I still have my other guitars, but this one is by far my favorite to play. >_<
Proof that my cream guitar was once white! Guitars are coated with polyurethane and it yellows just like the dollies, haha!
The headstock looks so weird without machine heads.
