Message for the Business Traveller

Jul 27, 2006 22:55

This is a message for the person who sent me a text message last night. If you're not that person, please move along--there's nothing to see here.

Got your message, and I'm too lazy to type all that on my cell phone. I tried using the online SMS, but I'm not certain that message got through.

Glad things are going well there. I can understand that the optimism might feel a bit hard to maintain, if you're not really that optimistic.

All's well here, I haven't melted, imploded, or gone postal. At work, we've solved the problem of what to do about September (I had a Clever Idea. Not as Clever an Idea as simply not letting K. look at the book again, but an idea that seems to make everyone happy, so it'll do for now.) The Book will get to schools in the fall. I will make it so.

The cucumbers are dead, and we uprooted the lettuce. The cukes seem to have suffered an infestation of cucumber beetles. I think we have to somehow de-contaminate that planter, or simply not plant any cucurbits in it ever again. Must do more research. The sweet peppers might have problems too, alas.

And I'm getting almost enough sleep. Almost.

On that note, I should to bed now. Feel free to call whenever it makes sense to do so.

*hugs*
