Weekends Past and Future

May 24, 2006 22:29

This is just a quick, mostly very prosaic update. I'm tired and headed for somnolence very shortly.

Those of you who are going to be in Toronto this weekend should consider dropping by the Spring Arts Fair at the Tarragon. It's free, and "promises an explosion of new play development activities including play readings, staged performances, and the return of the infamous Tarragon office plays."*

human_loser will be there, but will not emerge from a cake. He'll just be emerging and talented-"the single most exciting thing happening in Canadian theatre right now."**

I won't be there, because I can't be in two places at once. I'll be in New England for my twice-annual all-night folk dance rave, though this once the Gentleman and I shall forgo the afternoon English Country Dance (because I have reluctantly concluded that I'm not really Teflon-coated). Yay endorphins! Yay sleep deprivation!

Were I to be in town this weekend, you might also find me at Heather Dale's concert.

In addition to attending Oleanna this past weekend, I helped sabotabby make a garden on our roof. (WARNING: Doctor Who spoilers behind link. No Doctor Who has not appeared on our roof.***)

This means that we may be able to hold Shakespeare readings on the roof.

OK...I'm way too tired to have anything intelligent to say, so I'm tucking in. G'night LJ!

* I haven't the foggiest what the Tarragon Office Plays are, nor why they're infamous. I'm hoping someone will tell me.

** I have this on excellent authority from someone in the Scene. I'm not making it up.

*** More's the pity.

dancing, urban living, wholesome little trollop, coolness on my flist, friends and relations, public service announcements, theatre, angst, notes from the eyrie
