Now You Have Something to Do During Those Taxi Rides

Two meetings today. One with the entire team of Project B, except for the designer, on how we're going to avoid losing money given that the budget is impossible (we're in the early stages of Project B, and haven't lost any money yet; we also haven't done anything yet). One with the Grunk of Grunk, about how the client loves our work on Project A, but may not put us on their preferred vendor list anyway, because it's the only project we've done for this client, so he wants us to wow them even more. Project A is the project that has been eating my life for three months now. We're halfway through. the Grunk wanted us to know that if the designers need more time, that's fine. The designers are already late on everything.

After work, worked on the new seminar for an hour and a half. Got home just before 9:00 this evening.

Some days, you just have to let go of everything. So I did. Notwithstanding the hour, I cooked a nice supper (ginger-chile green beans stir-fried with tofu and udon noodles). Then I put on some music and danced the charleston around my kitchen for about an hour, to the utter fascination of Marinetti, who lay on his back on the floor, purring and gazing at me.

It is almost impossible to remain stressed while dancing the charleston.* Don't know how? Never fear!

I should mention that I find it almost impossible to remain stressed while even watching people do the charleston.

The charleston and cookies (which I baked in between bouts of charleston), is an almost perfect antidote.

I really do feel much better now.

* Assuming, of course, that one knows how to dance the charleston, is able to dance the charleston, and enjoys the charleston. I meet all three conditions.

all knowledge ..., transdimensional transmogrification, workaholism as a lifestyle choice, my exciting life, dance
