Radio as a lost art
I'm having the most wonderful experience as we speak. I was working late on a project for school when i decided to finish up for the night at 1:30am. Just for the heck of it I decide to check the NHL site to see how my Oilers are doing. Click on the link for the Oilers web site and find out that they're playing a game against the Devils. Not only that but through the magic of internet I can sit her and listen to the 630 CHED broadcast of the game live!!! I think I know how the people who first turned on a radio must have felt...well not really but it makes me happy all over to be listening to an Oilers game for the first time in almost 2 years. For those of you who don't know what the Oilers and Devils are you better be American. If you're not please hang your head in shame....gone on, do it....i'm waiting....thank you. Anyone who may be reading this probably doesn't know that 630 CHED is a talk radio station in Edmonton that broadcasts evey single one of the Oilers games for the last ever. These are the things that I enjoy as i'm not going home for christmas and this is as much Edmonton i'm going to get for the next year....anyways, thought i'd share.
